For the record, no one ever told me to “get a job you stupid f***” If anyone was saying that to me it was myself. This song was written out of depression while living in Iowa. I was very homesick.<\/p>\n
The sad truth … Out of all those people who I thought were my friends their are only 2 I actually keep in contact with. Jenny and Gary.<\/p>\n
In the end Iowa turned out to be a necessary chapter in my life. My wife found her calling, became a nurse, and I’m now a programmer\/stay-at-home dad. I probably wouldn’t have gained the necessary computer skills if I we stayed in Cheyenne. <\/p>\n
It gave us a chance to know ourselves better, and while I wouldn’t want to relive it, it was necessary.<\/p>\n
We probably would never move back to that town again.<\/p>\n
