  so, not to much to say this is just a foot note in the mighty mustardseedfate history. We still get drunk we still don’t give a fuck and we are further along with our music than ever.We play California shows AZ,NV every weekend, we are working on our fourth cd and we are the house band at the famous bk lounge in California were voodoo glow skulls started. Id say all and all were still kickin ass and for the people that aren’t with the band any more is a good thing. They were holding us back and could not keep up with us musicale in msf terms they sucked. Only three of them i respect joe, dan, timmy.Fuck the rest of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   That funny all the guys in the band have wife and kids and are happy.We haven’t said one bad thing about this guy in fact we haven’t even talk about him in years.It one thing to write a song about it but blogging come on let it go its been like eight years.I would never wast a good song on him. Did you even hear the song who the bitter one now. That funny when your in a band people think you don’t have a real life but we all have good job make real good money and do the thing we love best make music with our friends. Some people get mad at there life, family, kids or wife that’s how they deal with life. Not us we leave all that hate, anger on the page of a song that’s the true beauty of it.   This is more than just a blog. It’s all the music done through the years. Well all the stuff I think I’m legally allowed to share/publish. I would put up the old MSF stuff, but to be honest there are only 4 songs that are good enough to see the light of day. (road rage, useless message, face full of novocain, addiction) Everything else is kinda crap.

  I don’t feel comfortable putting all my music on myspace, dmusic, or a similar site because I had so much time invested in promoting mp3.com when it changed ownership. I don’t want that to ever happen to my music again. That’s why this site is here.

  The whole point of this site was to put up the music with lyrics, and a story behind the songs. Which is pretty much what myspace, and all the other sites do for artists, however I don’t run the risk of loosing all my work if they decide to shutdown, or sell.

  When my site goes down it will still live on in the internet archive. I’m not sure how myspace has it’s robots.txt file set up, but I’m pretty sure they don’t want the IA (Internet Archive) bot spidering their site.

  You may notice that this article was published July 8th, 2007.

  You’re right I never did fit in. “I couldn’t keep up with you” because you never called me for practice. I guess it’s because I didn’t decide to quit my job, and get another one that was better suited for band practice times. Also because I didn’t decide to leave my wife, or kill my cats. Which at the time, with some of the things you said, it was like you were pushing me to do that.

  I remember one time you saying you were going to get really serious about this music thing, then 6 months went by before you called for a practice/recording session. That’s what the whole “I remember the last time you guys got serious” thing was about.

  You’re serious now, good, great, congratulations. I’m glad I’m not a part of it. I hope you get signed, and you’re on MTV some day.

  I don’t see it happening. Mostly because the quality of the music on your site is so bad. I could be bias. I’ll be sending a few friends of mine over that way, and ask them for their honest opinion.

  Like we care what you your friends think come to one of our show and see how big our fan base is and how many cd,shirt,we sell .But your right about one thing all the music we did together was crap.We are playing in the big cail,az,nv not little Cheyenne anymore and who are you to say anything about music you have never even played a live gig! Anyone can record a song and keep doing it over and over till it come out right but you can never pull it off on stage. You have no credit it the Cheyenne music seen or any other seen all you do is talk shit hiding behind your computer in the basement. I fill sorry for you all the hate you keep in side for msf we forgive you maybe it time you forgave your self. THE BAND YOU LOVE TO HATE MSF

  That means I’ve had 635 streams since Feb 15. It’s the 16th. IN ONE FREAKING DAY!

  That’ s not counting myspace, which I don’t promote, and don’t care about.

  I’m sending my music all over the planet, fans or not, people are listening.

  “Anyone can record a song and keep doing it over and over till it come out right” no apparently not, because you can’t produce a decent sounding mp3 to showcase your talent.

  I can go to seeqpod.com, skreemr.com, beemp3.com and a ton of others to find music by the-erm, but I can’t find anything by mustard seed fate. Lots of stuff by mustard seed faith …

  your right you cant draw even fly’s its kind of funny how more and more people keep coming to our shows and yet you hide behind a computer. Stop an ask your self how many Bord people our on the internet and look at all types of stuff they turn your music on and turn it off but would the stay and pay to see you i think not. Every body i ever shown you music to thinks it a joke the ask my if hes for real or just a funny ha ha.that why you cant start a band.Not because you dont want to it because people will know your a fake and then the jig is up.   I’m not really hiding, I’m not actively writing music at this time. I’m sure there are a lot of bored people out there on the internet, it doesn’t hurt my feelings one bit. If I’m getting 500 listens/downloads a day that’s pretty freaking good. Especially considering I’m doing nothing. That’s 182,500 a year. I can live with that.
  If they don’t like my music that’s ok. If they think it’s funny that’s ok. Some of it was written to be funny.

  If people think I’m fake that’s ok. I don’t have to live up to their expectations.
  The thing is my music is getting out of the basement, I don’t have to 🙂 work smart not hard.

  The music is getting out, not some manufactured image that people can worship. The music gets out I don’t have to.
  For the record I am jamming with a few people. Don’t know if it’s going to go anywhere, but that’s not the reason why I’m doing it. It’s for fun, to create, to be.

  When we’re ready I’m sure we’ll do some gigs. The thing is I’m ok with just having fun with it.

  Please do yourself a favour, and get firefox it has a built in spell checker, and increased security.

  Well I’m done writing the script, it appears that there were duplicate entries in the log due to people using download programs. Thanks for pointing that out. I’d hate to get an over inflated ego, and think I’m better than I really am.

  stats

  I’ll probably make some changes the script that calculates the stats, add a database or something. Make it work a little better. 172 streams/downloads a day isn’t that bad, and that’s not including the podtrack statistics. If I’m getting 100 downloads a day, that’s not that bad, still puts me at 36,500 downloads a year, and considering I don’t promote this site yippie.

  If 10% of my music stays on someone’s hard drive out there, then I’ve got 3,650 copies circulating, and that’s pretty cool. I might even be lucky enough to find a place on someone’s mp3 player.

  This is kinda cool, and I’m not doing anything. Nothing zip zero ziltch. Shoot my last post was September 27th, 2008, and that was to promote someone else’s music.

  These posts, most interaction I’ve done in the last month. That’s it.

  I’ve given this careful consideration. If you want me to remove this song, I will to save face, but only because I now fear for my safety and my families safety. However this post will stay here for legal reasons.

  I don’t want to die, or get beaten up over a song I wrote 6 years ago, it’s just not worth it. The whole point was to put it up to share it with the world. People like it, great, if they don’t no big deal.

  I wanted to let things simmer down. First off I’m not crying about it. I posted this song to share with the world. That’s it. No emotions involved, just a chapter in my life that’s over, and a song I wrote about it. (On the day we were supposed to jamb.)

  If you think I’m a looser, ok.

  I love my wife, just the way she is. She’s a great lady, and I’d be lost without her. If she was homeless when I met her, and giving her a place to stay makes me a looser, then so be it. I don’t own cats any more. After Tommy & Leah died it was too hard to deal with. We’re home owners now. Pretty decent house, building equity …

  I’m sober too, been 5 years. I seriously don’t think I would be if I was still in the band. If that makes me a looser then so be it.

  I make enough money that I don’t need a regular job, and I can stay home raise the kids. If that makes me a looser, then so be it. However I don’t really think money is a good way of keeping score.

  Congratulations, you’re having some success. You’re playing gigs. If that’s what you want in life, then good job.

  My offer still stands, if this song offends you, I’ll remove it.

  Just think … all this could have been avoided if you would have picked up the phone, and said “Erm we’re not gonna make practice today.”
