Soundcloud

I was surfing stumble upon and came across Soundcloud. I think I’ll post a few tracks.

Something that I kinda like about this service vs other sites I’ve posted music to, they actually let you put your music anywhere on the web, much like youtube does with videos. This is great if you ask me. The whole point of writing and recording music is to get it out.

Some people are talented enough to make money off of it, but for the rest of us, it’s mostly about sharing.

They are also the first site that doesn’t care how big your files are. I’m not sure how many files you can upload since I just came across the site. Enough babbling.

The one thing I’ve learned over the years, is everyone has different tastes in music, and everyone “listens to good music.”

Another thing that has caught my eye about this site is that it seems to have something similar to what audiogalaxy had way back when, you can send music to people. I have yet to examine that aspect of the site, but it’d be kinda cool if they integrated the idea of subscribing to groups, and people would share their treasures that they find. Probably not, but hey a guy can dream.

Soundcloud also will connect to your twitter account, and tweet any tracks you upload. I’m not sure if I’m going to use this feature, because I just don’t trust giving passwords out to third party sites, but if you’re less paranoid than me it seems like a good thing.
